Asana Focus Classes
The purpose of these workshops is to help you learn how to practice, to deepen your practice as well as learn how you can work in class in ways that are tailored to your personal situation and nature.

Focus On Forward Bends
Summer practice is the time for forward bends! Its warmth has already "warmed you up" before you begin. Your legs and back are conducive to the elongating and folding actions necessary to extend your trunk over your legs.

Philosophy Focus Class
The purpose of these workshops will be to explore one sutra. There are no prerequisites. Materials will be provided, but if you already have a favorite translation please bring it!

First, we will learn the English meanings of the Sanskrit words and speak or chant them. Then, we will compare several published translations. After that we will consider Questions for Discussion to think about the meaning of the sutra as it relates to you and your yoga practice. You may begin to create a translation of your own!

Pranayama Focus Class

This series of 4 early morning classes is designed for students who either may not have had an introduction to pranayama or have had some in class but have not established a personal practice, or students with a practice who want to learn more about the fundamentals. The class will include an explanation of how and why pranayama is part of a yoga practice, basic breathing techniques and time to experience a deeper savasana.
